ABOUT the EVENT & HOW to REGISTER
Phil Brown's PHEEL GOOD 5k is a special 5k that celebrates the life and honors the memory
of local runner Phil Brown, who was killed while riding his motorcycle to work on the morning of March 1, 2017.
Immediately following the tragedy, Phil's employer, Duke Energy, and the Duke Energy staff, family & friends quickly organized the first Phil Brown Memorial 5k which took place on April 1, 2017 for Duke Energy employees and family at the Hines Energy Complex (power plant). In 2018, the event celebrated its 2nd year at Hines.
In 2019, this very special event opened to the community & took place along the Fort Fraser Trail in Bartow on Easter weekend.
THIS year, the race will remain on the Fort Fraser Trail and adopt a holiday theme for the December 5th Fa,La,La,La PHEEL GOOD 5k.
Runners and walkers are encouraged to join the celebration of Phil's life by lacing up and logging miles along the paved trail that Phil SO enjoyed running! What a wonderful way to start the holiday season!
All proceeds will benefit Phil's alma mater, Williamson College of the Trades, AND the PHEEL GOOD Foundation, the non-profit organization founded in Phil's honor.

WHERE: 5k Begins & Ends on Fort Fraser Trail immediately beside Pen Fed Credit Union located at 1790 N Broadway Ave, Bartow, FL 33830
PARKING: Parking is inside the parking lots of Pen Fed Credit Union and Ruby Tuesday Restaurant
TIME: 5K starts at 8:00 a.m.
PACKET PICK-UP: Friday, December 4th from 5 - 8 p.m. at FITniche (located at 1523 Town Center Dr, Lakeland, FL 33803) & Saturday morning from 7:00 - 7:45 a.m. at the starting line

5k- Overall Male & Female, Masters Male & Female (40 and over)), Grandmasters M & F (50 and over), Top Three Male and Female in Each Age Division
FINISHER ORNAMENT MEDALS- To first 150 to cross the Finish Line AND to All Virtual Participants.
